I lost both of the parakeets this past Monday

It is a sad time in our house without the twittering going on from Sky and Star.

I mistakenly left the door open to their hanging cage and some time during the day, they fly away.

I haven't decided if I will get any more birds but if I do I want to buy a couple Love Birds.

I figure that I had better introduce our new bird before she gets older. Fancy passed away the 19th of October. We went and bought Star to keep Sky company. We got her on our 8th wedding anniversary. It will make it easy to keep track of when we got her.

It looks like Sky was being too camera shy or just to tired to care about me being there snapping pictures.

Meet my new baby bird, Sky
We just bought him last night from Petsmart. This is the first one with yellow on it. He seems very happy now with his new mate, Fancy. She is showing him around there Condo. I took this picture earlier out front of our home. It looked like it was going to rain so I brought them back in.

Button Button Who's Got The Buttons?

This sounds like a catchy phrase for what I am going to do with my button collection. I do not have a lot of them but should have enough to put in my clear, one quart glass jar so I can display them close to my sewing machine. I have most of my buttons in a decorative can. Now I am thinking of what I will put in the can, maybe some pretty papers to save for making cards with. The list is endless.
I have my Brother Sewing machine right here close at hand now. I use to have it up in my bedroom but I spend most of my time here in the kitchen. It just makes more sense to have it down here. The sewing table is right next to my desk. If I need to cut material, I can do that on the dining room table.
Lately I have been looking at a lot of Sewing Blogs, they give me inspiration. You should see my long list of Blog sites that is saved just for sewing alone.
I have a Instructional DVD that came with my sewing machine that I need to study. My main purpose for buying this machine, besides being a good price was that it does fancy embroidery.

Go figure! I can't find my can of buttons. That might be my weekend project, LOL looking for lost buttons.

I'm up and running

Two months has gone by since I started my blog. I opened it up to the public today.
Stumble upon is one of my favorite pastimes on the Internet. It has giving me many blogs to get inspiration from. I have to learn how to link yet.
I wrote about spring time at our home with the humming bird feeder. I have had it up since then and so far this year, I'm only seen a female hummer.
That post was just a sample to get the feel of how I want my blog to run. It might look like a journal at first.
I am hoping that I will find easy tutorials to make my site user friendly.
I do not not want a lot of clutter here. My main objective is to have friends that will share ideas with me on crafts, and have fun.
Let me explain about what I think is clutter on sites. Lot of blinkies,
Ads at the top of blogs, and all over the place. Some times they can be too distracting.

I love Springtime. Why do I love it? It is simple, Flowers and fresh green grass. I'm looking forward to putting up my hummingbird feeder and seeing the pretty hummers landing on it.
